Kids Party Food: Clown Red Nose Cones

This kids party recipe is so much fun to make and the kids and are super delicious for kids parties


150 g milk chocolate melts, melted

12 square ice-cream cones, natural coloured

36 Smarties

6 x 1 cm liquorice straps

12 scoops vanilla ice-cream

½ cup rainbow sprinkles

12 x 10 cm squares paper

12 small pom-poms

12 Jaffas


  1. Use palette knife to spread melted chocolate over one side of cone. Quickly press three Smarties into it.
  2. Stand on lined tray for 30 minutes or until chocolate is set.
  3. Cut each piece of liquorice crossways into eight strips.
  4. Place a scoop of ice-cream into each cone. Quickly roll in sprinkles. Freeze for 3 hours or until ice-cream is firm.
  5. Working quickly, press four cris-crossed strips of liquorice into the front for eyes.
  6. Freeze overnight.
  7. Make hats by rolling paper into cone shape and securing with clear tape, then trim base. Glue a pom-pom to the top.
  8. Quickly press a Jaffa into each cone to form clown nose. Top each clown with a paper hat. Serve immediately.
